Donated by Jean Sandell, granddaughter of Duncan Beattie. Beattie was the manager of Kenilworth station from c1890 until c1921 when the estate was subdivided and sold. The previous manager of Kenilworth was Patrick Lillis from c1875 to c1890 when Beattie took over. Lillis was one of the defendants in the case Murphy v Lillis and another.
