Summary:
The fourth edition of this study of the criminal law in Queensland is both on the one hand an account of the content of the criminal law in Queensland, and on the other hand a critique and a comment on that law. This is reflected in Professor Schloenhardt's approach of inviting the reader throughout the text to critically reflect on present problems arising in the criminal law in their current and comparative contexts, and on the reader's own relationship to the criminal law. The avowed purpose of the book is to seek to facilitate the study of the criminal law in Queensland, to explore and analyze the general principles and specific offences, and to draw relevant comparisons.
