A full bottomed wig and tin. A label sewn into the inside crown of the wig reads 'Patentee / Ravenscroft / 3 / Serle Street / Lincolns Inn Fields'. Ravenscroft, now Ede and Ravenscroft, were located at Serle Street c.1817-1878. The wig was manufactured before 1900 as Ravenscroft became Ede & Ravenscroft in 1902.

Known previous owners are to the Honourable James Dunn QC (1921-1983), the Honourable Kevin Ryan CBE (1925-2009) and the Honourable Margaret White AO, who donated the wig and tin to the Supreme Court Library Queensland in 2013. The wig may have orignally belonged to by the Honurable Thomas Ryan (1876-1921).
