Summary:
Wall clock cased in silky oak, which has been painted orange then gold by previous owner in 1970s. Clock face is painted steel(?) plate secured to casing with screw, with writing, 'F - S', 'HERGA & CO.', 'BRISBANE'. 'F - S' meaning 'fast' or 'slow' refers to where the speed of the clock could be adjusted. The numbers on clock face are Western Arabic numerals. A glass cover surrounded by a brass rim or bezel covers the clock face, secured to casing with hinge and latch and can be opened to access the winding point. The clock face or dial pan is painted steel. Clock mechanism (disassembled), clock hands and key sit in box underneath clock face.

Originally made for use in the Supreme Court building at North Quay, Brisbane. Clock recovered from a skip bin at the time of the building's demolition in 1976 by a former court staff member. It was later purchased by Jack Sim, who then donated the clock to Supreme Court Library Queensland on 13 August 2018.
