This paper contributes to the growing literature on organised crime prevention by examining how crime associated with outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCGs) is understood and approached in Scandinavia. The paper describes different understandings of the phenomenon in the form of past experiences and expected future developments. Criminal justice system responses and other innovative approaches are also outlined. The paper offers insight into the challenges associated with OMCGs, and the efforts of Scandinavian nations to prevent recruitment and encourage dissociation and desistance. - Publisher's website.
